Trauma & PTSD Therapy

If you feel emotionally shut down, overwhelmed, reactive, or stuck reliving painful experiences, trauma therapy can help you process what you carry, feel safer in your body and relationships, and move toward healing.

Trauma & PTSD Therapy

Who Is This For?

This space is for adults carrying the unseen weight of past experiences that still dictate their present. It’s designed for those who look functional on the outside but are exhausted by the internal work it takes to survive the day.

  • Emotional Disconnection: Feeling completely numb, shut down, or unable to feel present in your own life and relationships.
  • Nervous System Overload: Living with constant anxiety, panic, hypervigilance, or flashpoints of intense emotional reactivity.
  • Relational Guardrails: Struggling to trust others, anticipating betrayal, or avoiding places and situations that trigger a threat response.
  • The Weight of Shame: Carrying a quiet undercurrent of self-blame, unworthiness, or a constant feeling that you are "not enough."
  • The Deeper Longing: Ready to stop waiting for the other shoe to drop, process the past, and finally feel safe in your own body.

My Approach

I believe real healing happens through relationship. The wounds we carry from past experiences deeply shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world. Within a safe therapeutic relationship, you can process these experiences, restore emotional security, and step into lasting change.

Because your story is unique, I integrate tailored, evidence-based modalities to support your growth:

  • Attachment & Psychodynamic: Explores how early relationships and past experiences shape your current emotional and behavioral patterns.
  • EMDR (SAFE Method): Gently helps the brain and body process painful, overwhelming memories to heal the nervous system.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Fosters deep self-compassion by helping you understand and heal the protective "parts" of yourself.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Focuses on untangling heavy emotions, healing relational wounds, and building secure connections.
  • CBT: Helps identify unhelpful thought cycles and builds practical, grounded tools for daily life.

What A Session Looks Like

Each session is collaborative and confidential, grounded in safety, trust, and connection. We’ll begin with what is most important to you and move at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. Sessions may involve exploring present triggers, understanding relational and emotional patterns shaped over time, or developing new ways of coping and relating. My role is to come alongside you with guidance and support, offering a safe and attuned relationship where deeper self-understanding, healing, and lasting change can begin to take root.

My Experience

I have advanced training and extensive experience working with trauma and attachment-related struggles — the kinds of wounds that quietly shape emotional well-being, sense of self, and relationships in profound ways. I stay grounded in current research and committed to providing evidence-based care, including EMDR and IFS, that supports meaningful and lasting healing.

Your Story Starts Here

The First Session

Our first session is about creating a foundation for our work together. We’ll explore what brings you in, talk through your goals for therapy, and make sure you have a sense of how I approach the therapeutic process.

The Following Sessions

Therapy builds over time, with each session helping you better understand yourself, your relationships, and the patterns shaping your life. Some sessions may focus more on present challenges or relationships, while others may involve exploring the deeper experiences shaping how you feel, relate, and move through life.

Tracking Progress

Progress often shows up in the small shifts that build over time. As we move forward, we’ll regularly reflect on your goals, your growth, and the changes you’re beginning to notice in yourself and your relationships.

Frequently Asked Questions

Don't let questions stop you from receiving the care you deserve.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

This is a common question, though the answer looks different for everyone. The length of therapy depends on your goals, the concerns bringing you in, and the depth of work you would like to do. Some clients seek short-term support around a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper healing and lasting change.

Can I do virtual therapy sessions if I can't come to the office?

Yes. Virtual therapy sessions are available for clients located in Texas and can offer flexibility, comfort, and convenience when coming into the office is difficult.

Is what we talk about really confidential?

Yes. Therapy is a private and confidential space, with a few legal and ethical exceptions related to safety that will be reviewed during the intake process.

What is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) is an evidence-based trauma therapy that helps the brain and body process painful experiences in a safe, grounded way. I was specially trained in the SAFE Approach (Somatic & Attachment), which expands on traditional EMDR by helping clients better understand their emotional patterns, nervous system responses, and relational wounds while processing trauma.
