What You Can Expect From Our Work Together

The values that shape every session

Empathy

Every story matters, and every person deserves to feel deeply understood — not judged, fixed, or rushed.

Authenticity

You don't have to perform, explain, or have it all together to walk into this space — come exactly as you are.

Grace

Healing isn't linear, and progress isn't a performance — there's room here for the messy middle.

Trust

Confidentiality, attunement, and consistency — the foundation everything else is built on.

Emotional Safety

Sessions are paced with care — never rushed, never pushed beyond what feels manageable.

Connection

Healing happens within safe relationship — not in isolation, not in clinical distance, but together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some of the most common questions about my practice, my approach, and what to expect from our work together.

What can I expect during our first therapy session?

Your initial session is a collaborative, low-pressure space focused on connection and emotional safety. We will talk about what is bringing you to therapy, explore your history, and discuss what you hope to get out of our work together. You don’t need to have it all figured out before you walk in—we will pace the session around what feels manageable and most important to you.

Do you accept insurance, and what are your fees?

I operate as an out-of-network provider, which allows me to focus completely on your unique healing journey without the constraints often mandated by insurance companies regarding strict diagnoses and session limits. I can gladly provide you with a monthly statement (a "superbill") that you can submit to your insurance carrier for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Sessions are $135 for 45-50 minutes.

How do I know if virtual therapy is right for me?

The secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy I offer provides the same depth of care, attunement, and clinical effectiveness as in-person therapy, with the added convenience of meeting from your own private, comfortable space. It is an excellent fit if you are managing a busy schedule, a long commute, or chronic illness anywhere in Texas. During our initial consultation, we can discuss whether online sessions or meeting in person at my Dallas or McKinney offices would best support your goals.

What is your cancellation policy?

Because your session time is reserved specifically for you, I ask for at least 24 hours' notice from your appointment time if you need to cancel or reschedule. Therapy appointments are dedicated, one-on-one time set aside solely for your care and attention. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, are subject to the full session fee.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

Because healing isn't linear and your story is entirely unique, there is no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some clients find that short-term, goal-oriented therapy (a few months) provides the clarity and boundaries they need, while others processing deeper trauma, PTSD, or long-standing attachment patterns benefit from longer-term, ongoing support. I will check in with you regularly so we can evaluate your progress together and ensure our work continues to serve your growth.

What types of therapy techniques do you use?

My approach to therapy is collaborative and individualized because trauma, anxiety, and attachment patterns often affect both the mind and body. I integrate traditional talk therapy with evidence-based, relational, and trauma-informed approaches, tailoring our work together to best support your healing.
